What is a Woman?

Women marry men hoping they will change. Men marry women hoping they won’t.

Maybe I subscribe to the wrong newsfeed, but if I’m to believe what I read, there are no more men or women, only transgenders, non-genders, and genderless.

Consider the couple who meet on Tinder, go on a lovely date, and end up in her bed. After a long night of making love, the man rolls over and notices a framed picture of another man on her nightstand.

“Is that your husband?” he inquires nervously.

“No, silly,” she says and snuggles up to him.

“Your boyfriend?” he asks.

“Nope, not my boyfriend,” she says while nibbling his ear.

“Well, then who is it?” he demands.

Calmly, she answers, “That’s me before the surgery.”

Also, according to my news feed, of the women who still identify as women, it seems that many are chronically angry with men. Many feminists throw around the term, toxic masculinity, like it’s a plague that has infected every man on Earth.

I feel an urgent need to call foul here, fake news! While I know this messaging comes from the extreme left and extreme feminists, it seems to me to be too much. I worry too many young men and women are seeing the pendulum swing too far and that they will learn to think it’s normal.

Believing gender doesn’t exist and masculinity is toxic, is not normal, it’s the outer edges of extremist ranting.

In the kingdom of Animalia, it is near universal that we are either born female or male and for almost all species, we’re okay with that. Possible exceptions are male Lady Bugs, Black Widow husbands, and the mates of Praying Mantises.

A woman came home to find her husband stalking around the house with a fly swatter. She asked him, “did you kill any?”

He replied, “Yeah! Two males and a female.”

“How do you know what they were?” she asked.
